THE ICHIKIN, LTD.
Takeshi Kawaguchi, President and CEO

Our lives today are supported by the wide range of machines we have developed through trial and error together with our customers.

Founded in 1936 by my grandfather, Bunshiro Kawaguchi, The ICHIKIN, Ltd. started off selling machine tools, etc.

In 1954, the company was formally established, initially engaging in the manufacturing and sale of textile machinery. The second-generation president, my father Hiroshi Kawaguchi, tried to switch our business field to an industrial machinery manufacturer specializing in fully custom-made production, applying the technology and expertise we had accumulated. Overcoming numerous challenges, we have continued to develop and grow to this day.

Currently, we provide manufacturing machines for polymer chemical products not only in Japan but also overseas, with our flagship products being manufacturing machines for optical films and separators for secondary batteries.

Our philosophy is to engage with our customers from the early stages of research and prototyping in their product development, collaborating closely through testing phases to create the machine they need.

Materials produced from our machines are now indispensable in various industries and products, including computers, smartphones, medical devices, food products, and industrial materials.

Our lives today are supported by the wide range of machines we have developed through trial and error together with our customers.

We tackle challenges without fearing failure.
Relentless determination is necessary for creating never-before-seen machines.

Our founder Bunshiro Kawaguchi proclaimed, "While human life has its limits, the life of a corporation can be sustained infinitely by the efforts of its employees." With this belief, he established "Being the Best Company" as our corporate philosophy.
Our employees' trustworthiness with customers eventually builds the company's credibility and yields excellent products.
Looking ahead, we aim to continue being that "best company" by consistently providing products that satisfy our customers.

In the future, making the most use of our experience and expertise, we will fearlessly and boldly challenge ourselves to serve in creating products that do not yet exist in this world.
We aim to become a centennial company, keeping in mind the necessity of carbon neutrality and SDGs in the evolving society, and strive to address everyone’s challenges. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

We tackle challenges without fearing failure. Relentless determination is necessary for creating never-before-seen machines.
